Former Tennessee Head Coach Phillip Fulmer Speaks at Holston House Dinner

College football season brings the appearances of coaches of the sport both past and present.  One of those, former Tennessee boss Phillip Fulmer always has a busy speaking schedule this time of the year.

On September 12th, Fulmer will speak at an event for the Holston United Methodist Home for Children.  The dinner will begin at 6 p.m. in Greeneville, Tennessee at the General Morgan Inn.

The proceeds go directly to the Holston House.  The facility was originally established in 1985 and does great work for children with centers in five different cities.

Fulmer had a lengthy tenure with the Vols, serving as the head coach from 1992-2008.  He took UT to five different Southeastern Conference championship games and won two.

In 1998, Fulmer led Tennessee to victory in the first ever BCS National Championship game.  Overall, he went 152-52 in 17 seasons at the helm of the program.

Outside of short coaching stints at Vanderbilt and Wichita State, most of Fulmer's coaching experience came at his alma mater.  For all his accomplishments with the Vols, he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2012.
