With a legacy as a pro tennis star and his emerging career in golf, Mardy Fish makes perfect sense as an endorser for high-profile brands.  Luxury Business Jets has signed the former top American tennis player as their first sponsored golfer. 

The sponsorship was first inacted this past weekend at the American Century Championship Tournament.  Fish played well at the event, coming in second to former Major League Baseball pitcher Mark Mulder. 

It was his second top five showing at the tournament.  There were 90 celebrities competing this year with a $600,000 purse in play.  

Fish rose to a career-best ranking of seventh in 2011, also assuming the top spot among American men's singles players.  That year, he reached the quarterfinals of Wimbledon.  

During his career, Fish also reached the quarterfinals of the U.S. Open and the Austrailian Open.  Those three showings represent his highest finish in Grand Slam events. 

In total, Fish won six times on the ATP Tour.  He originally debuted as a pro in 2000 and retired from the sport following the 2015 U.S. Open.
