There are not many more revered sports figures in the state of Connecticut than former UConn basketball coach Jim Calhoun.  On September 22nd, he will be in New Haven to speak at the Farnam House Sports Celebrity Breakfast. 

The breakfast is going to be held from 7:15-9 a.m. at Anthony's Ocean View.  Individual tickets for the event are available for $50. 

Farnam House is also still seaking sponsors.  Proceeds from everything benefit children and youth programs that Farnam is involved with. 

Calhoun is a three-time NCAA Champion and his Huskies squads made four Final Fours.  They won the Big East Conference under his watch on seven occasions. 

Calhoun's 873 wins rank 13th all-time among NCAA coaches.  Only five other men have won three or more NCAA titles. 

Calhoun is a member of both the Basketball Hall of Fame and College Basketball Hall of Fame.  In addition to 26 years at UConn, he also coached Northeastern for 14 seasons.
