The American Gem Society already has their keynote speaker lined up for April's Conclave.  The 83rd event will feature former world champion boxer Sugar Ray Leonard.  

Activities run April 5-8 at the Loews Hollywood Hotel in Los Angeles, California.  The AGS Conclave stands as the premier educational and networking opportunity in the jewelry industry. 

Leonard will speak during the general session breakfast.  He will talk about how to persevere through adversity while giving examples about how he achieved goals throughout his legendary career. 

Leonard compiled a 40-3-1 record in a career that spanned three different decades.  He won world championships in five different weight classes. 

With his 1981 win over undefeated Thomas Hearns, Leonard became the undisputed welterweight champion of the world.  He is also well known for his class trilogy of bouts with Roberto Duran. 

On three occasions, Leonard was named Fighter of the Year by the Boxing Writers Association of America.  He is a member of the International Boxing Hall of Fame.
