This past week, the Orlando Touchdown Club came to a close for the fall with one of their favorite guests. Orlandoan Charles Davis entertained the assembled crowd of members and guests at The Taproom at Dubsdread Golf Course.
Davis brought his expertise as an NFL analyst for FOX and former college football star. The club also recognized several area standout performers from the high school level with their end-of-year awards.
The Orlando Touchdown Club meets every two weeks during football season. Others guests who spoke this season included SEC Network personality Tony Barnhart, ESPN’s Ivan Maisel, and SiriusXM radio host Mark Packer.
Davis has been with FOX Sports since 2006, but the 2015 season has been his first as a full-time NFL analyst. Previously, he served as the network’s lead college football commentator.
As an avid golf enthusiast, Davis was also added to the broadcast team for the 2015 U.S. Open. Davis broadcast career originally took off when he did college football games for TBS and Arena Football League broadcasts with NBC.
With the Vols, Davis was a standout All-SEC defensive back and had 13 career interceptions. He also participated in training camp with the Dallas Cowboys in 1987.
