During their summer commencement, the graduates at Florida A&M will get to hear from a member of the school’s sports hall of fame. FOX Sports reporter Pam Oliver will speak on August 7th.
The ceremony will be at 4:00 p.m. at the Alfred Lawson Jr. Multipurpose Center and Teaching Gymnasium. Oliver graduated with a degree in broadcast journalism from FAMU in 1984 after an All-American track and field career for the Rattlers.
From 1995 to 2014, Oliver worked as a sideline reporter on FOX’s number one NFL broadcast team. She still is one of the most respected broadcasters on the network’s coverage of the league.
Oliver’s career began working her way up in local markets. She had jobs in Albany, Georgia, Huntsville, Alabama, Buffalo, New York, Tampa, Florida, and Houston, Texas.
In 1993, Oliver got an opportunity to take her career national with ESPN. She recently signed a deal to lock in her 21st and 22nd seasons on the NFL sidelines for FOX.
