Walton is certainly one of the greatest players in the history of college basketball. As a main anchor of John Wooden's UCLA dynasty, he won three College Player of the Year awards and two NCAA Championships.
Despite sufferring numerous injuries as a pro, Walton still had a great deal of success in the NBA. He was a two-time All-Star, two-time NBA champion, and won the 1978 NBA MVP award while with the Portland Trail Blazers.
Walton's notoreity has lived on with new generations of basketball fans as a popular broadcaster for networks like ESPN and NBC. He recently chronicled much of his life with the memoir "Back From the Dead".
