La Russa's teams won three World Series and 12 division titles. He won three American League Manager of the Year Awards and one National League Manager of the Year Award.
The final 16 seasons of La Russa's career were spent with the St. Louis Cardinals and he the franchise retired his #10 jersey. He is also a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame.
