Hall of Famer Andre Reed Gives Back and Gets Honored by his Hometown

Last week, recent Hall of Fame inductee Andre Reed had a busy time back in his hometown of Allentown, Pennsylvania.  On Monday, Reed had a park and street named after him at Dieruff High School.

Then on Tuesday, Reed started his time in the city by giving the keynote speech at the 116th Annual Convention of the Pennsylvania Municipal League. His week of activities continued Saturday with the Lehigh Valley Walk for Williams Syndrome.

Reed concluded his time in the city Monday hosting his sixth annual celebrity golf tournament at Lehigh Country Club.  In addition, a pairings party Sunday night helped raise money for his foundation.

Reed is as legendary a name in Buffalo, where he was a seven-time Pro Bowl selection.  He is the Bills franchise leader in almost ever career receiving record.

As a player who ended up with over 13,000 receiving yards, 951 catches, and 87 touchdowns, Reed is truly a football success story.  He was a fourth round pick out of Kutztown University in 1985 and ended as one of the greatest receivers in NFL history.
