Many fans followed the career of Hockey Hall of Famer Doug Gilmour. Now, supporters get to hear more about it with the release of Gilmour's new book, Killer: My Life in Hockey.
The book will officially be released on October 17th and Gilmour is set to embark on a 24-stop book tour that day as well. His first event will be at the Indigo Yorkville in Toronto.
Gilmour will be making appearances throughout Canada through November. The tour officially wraps up on November 28th back in Toronto at Indigo Spirit First Canadian Place.
Gilmour played 20 seasons in the NHL and collected 1,414 points. He made back-to-back All-Star appearances in 1993 and 1994.
Gilmour won the Frank J. Selke Trophy as the league's best defensive forward in 1993. He spent the prime of his career with the Toronto Maple Leafs and holds franchise single-season records for assists and points.
Gilmour also won a Stanley Cup with the Calgary Flames in 1989. In addition to being in the Hockey Hall, his number is retired by the Maple Leafs and he is a member of the Ontario Sports Hall of Fame.
