As the face of Hockey Night in Canada, host Ron MacLean is a familiar personality across the entire country. In August, he will be in Southern Ontario for a special speaking engagement.
MacLean is headlining the Hockey Night in Tillsonburg Gala Event at 5 p.m. on August 10th. 400 tickets are available for $175 and they can be purchased at Danbrook Automotive.
The gala concludes the first day of activities centered around the NHL Centennial Fan Arena. The Fan Arena runs August 10-12 in Tillsonburg and the Stanley Cup will make an appearance on August 11th.
MacLean served as Hockey Night in Canada host from 1986-2014 and reprised his role again starting in 2016. He has also been a part of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's Olympics coverage since 1988.
MacLean has won the Gemini Award for Best Sports Broadcaster five times. He was named Best Host or Interviewer in a Sports Program or Sportscast in 2004 and 2006.
MacLean is a member of the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame and the Oakville Sports Hall of Fame. Last year, he received a star on Canada's Walk of Fame.
