Last year's NBA MVP runner-up James Harden has a treasure trove of endorsement deals. According to Forbes, Harden makes $17 million annually off the court with sponsorship deals.
He may have his most fitting partnership yet. Harden is now working with Trolli, a Ferrara Candy brand whose tagline is "Weirdly Awesome".
With the demographic that roots for Harden and his off-beat personality, Trolli seems like a perfect match. He is already being featured in a national ad campaign and will also be involved in product development as part of his deal.
Harden is headed to his fourth straight All-Star game next week and putting up averages of 27.9 points, 7.1 assists, and 6.2 rebounds per game. He has averaged at least 25 points per game in each season with the Houston Rockets and led the franchise to the Western Conference Finals last season.
The last two seasons, Harden has been named to the All-NBA first-team. He also won the NBA Basketball Players Association MVP Award last year.
Harden was originally the third overall pick in the 2009 draft by the Oklahoma City Thunder and contributed to that organization's rise to prominence. In 2012, he was NBA Sixth Man of the Year and the Thunder went to the NBA Finals.
