The conference is going to be put on by The International Council of Shopping Centers.  It is being held on December 5th and 6th at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.

Plank has one of the more remarkable entrepreneurial stories in recent memory.  After leaving the University of Maryland, he started Under Armour out of his grandmother's basement.  

While Plank started selling t-shirts out of his trunk, he has now grown UA in a multi-billion dollar company.  The brand has endorrsement deals with some of the top athletes in sports like Stephen Curry, Cam Newton and Jordan Spieth. 

With his status as a global business leader, Plank remains an influential part of the greater Washington D.C./Baltimore region.  He serves as a Board of Trustees member at Maryland and actively guides Under Armour's Give Back Initiative.
