The fifth annual Becky Stillman Leadership Institute featured respected names from across the state of Indiana. One of the speakers was Indiana football coach Tom Allen. 

The event took place on June 16th at the Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence County William Poling Gym. Festivities ran from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m for the sold-out session. 

In addition to Allen, one of the more notable speakers was Second Lady of the United States Karen Pence. Proceeds from the Institute benefited the Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence County. 

After spending the 2016 season as defensive coordinator, Allen took over the Hoosiers as they prepared for the Foster Farms Bowl. This is his first head coaching position at the college level. 

Before arriving in Bloomington, Allen was the defensive coordinator at the University of South Florida in 2015. He coached linebackers at Ole Miss from 2012-14. 

Allen has worked his way up in college coaching, also holding posts at Wabash College, Lambuth, Drake and Arkansas State. He began his coaching career on the high school level and served as head coach at multiple programs.
