There is no doubt that iconic Georgia football coach Vince Dooley has aged gracefully. Dooley will get to address that very topic with his wife Barbara at an upcoming speaking engagement.
Dooley is set to speak on April 30th at the Aging By Design Summit and Expo. The event is being held at the Roswell Street Baptist Church in Marietta, Georgia starting at 9 a.m.
In addition to Dooley's speech, there will be experts on-site to address a variety of issues and free health screenings. Early registration costs $5 and includes a continental breakfast.
Dooley is one of the legends of college football. He spent his entire head coaching career at the UGA and 207-77-10. His squads won six Southeastern Conference championships and appeared in 20 bowl games.
In 1980, Dooley and the Bulldogs stood atop the sport as national champions. That season, he won four different national Coach of the Year awards.
Dooley was also a five-time SEC Coach of the Year. In addition to his coaching duties, he served as athletic director at the school from 1979-2004.
