Los Angeles Dodgers Center Fielder Joc Pederson Signs Endorsement Deal with Chef’s Cut Real Jerky

When you play in Los Angeles, opportunities off the field are sure to find you.  Dodgers outfielder Joc Pederson is certainly capable of taking in an endorsement haul independant of Hollywood's bright lights, but it has not hurt either.

Pederson was announced on Tuesday as a brand ambassador for Chef's Cut Real Jerky.  He will promote how Chef's Cut is a healthier alternative to other brands on the market.

In a statement, Pederson mentioned that Chef's Cut is his go-to snack because it is gluten-free, high in protein and made with quality meats.  The jerky can be found in select convenience stores and online.

Pederson made the National League All-Star team in his first full big league campaign last year.  He finished the season with 26 home runs and 54 RBI while placing sixth in NL Rookie of the Year balloting.

In addition to his All-Star nod, Pederson finished runner-up to Todd Frazier in the Home Run Derby.  Prior to the game, he became one of just three rookies in baseball history to have at least 20 homers at the break.

Pederson made his big league debut as a September call-up in 2014.  Prior to joining the Dodgers that year, he became the first player in Pacific Coast League history to hit 30 home runs and steal 30 bases in a season.
