Los Angeles Dodgers Manager Dave Roberts Speaks at Nevada’s Bobby Dolan Baseball Dinner Next Month

Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts is coming off a successful first season as skipper. He will share some of his methods of success at the Bobby Dolan Baseball Dinner on January 19th. 

The dinner is held as a fundraiser annually by the University of Nevada's baseball program. Festivities begin that day with a VIP reception at 4:30 p.m. followed by a social hour at 5:30 p.m. and dinner at 6:30 p.m. 

Tickets are $150 for individuals and $1,500 for a table of ten. The VIP reception package with a table of ten is available for $2,500. 

In his first year, Roberts led the Dodgers to a 91-71 record and their fourth straight National League West Division championship. He was named NL Manager of the Year. 

From 2011-2015, Roberts prepared for his managerial opportunity as a coach with the San Diego Padres. He had a ten-year playing career that began with the Clevelandn indians in 1999.

Roberts had the best season of his career in 2006, when he hit a career-high .293 with a career-best 49 stolen bases for the Padres. He also helped the Boston Red Sox win the World Series in 2004.
