As one of the Los Angeles Kings all-time greats, Luc Robitaille has had connections in the entertainment world for many years. Those ties certainly helped Robitaille put together his 2016 Celebrity Shootout.
The Celebrity Shootout will take place March 20th from 4-6 p.m. at the Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo, California. Proceeds from the game benefit Echoes of Hope.
Tickets to the event cost $30 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under. People can play in the game alongside hockey stars and celebrities by making a $5000 donation.
Robitaille played 19 seasons in the NHL and 14 of those years were with the Kings over three different stints. Upon his retirement in 2005-06, he retired with the most points and goals in league history for a left winger.
With 577 goals notched with Los Angeles, Robitaille is the franchise's all-time leader. In addition to his standout play with the Kings, he also won a Stanley Cup with the Detroit Red Wings in 2002.
In 2009, Robitaille was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. He currently serves as the President of Operations with the Kings and has a statue outside Staples Center honoring his accomplishments as a player.
