The Miami Heat sported throwback jerseys in seven games last month. They also launched an entire THROWBACK HEAT Campaign, that featured events and new merchandise.
Rookie Justise Winslow got in one more February appearance yesterday. Winslow was at the THROWBACK Heat Headquarters that is a convereted Chevron convenience store in Miami.
Starting at 4 p.m., he met with fans and signed autographs. Winslow had also helped open the store back earlier in the month.
Winslow has had a productive rookie season and is coming off a career-high 13 rebound performance in a win against the New York Knicks on Sunday. February was a good month for the forward as he recorded four of his ten double-digit point games, including a new career-high of 15 points against the Indiana Pacers.
Even in his first year, Winslow has already developed into one of the better perimeter defenders in the NBA. The Heat selected him 10th overall in the draft this summer out of Duke.
Winslow starred for one season with the Blue Devils and helped the school win the NCAA Championship. During the tournament run, he averaged 14.3 points and 9.3 rebounds per game.
