The 2016 AXS Sports Facilities & Ticketing Symposium is coming to Minneapolis, Minnesota.  Being in the backyard of several major sports franchises, they have pulled in important influencers from the local sports world to speak. 

One of those speakers is Minnesota Twins owner Jim Pohlad.  He will be interviewed at the event that is supported by Sports Business Daily. 

The symposium runs September 20-21 at The Commons Hotel.  Registration is still currently open. 

Pohlad inherited ownership of the Twins from his father Carl in 2009 and serves as team CEO.  He has been affiliated with the franchise for some time and was instrumental in the effort to bring Target Field to Minneapolis.  

When his father purchased the team in 1984, Pohlad provided the financial analysis on the acquisition.  His background is in finance and he worked for an accounting firm upon graduation from the Unversity of Southern California in 1975. 

With his two brothers. Pohlad oversees several Minneapolis-area businesses outside the Twins.  He is particularly involved in the family's real estate and finance interests.
