For Bellator, the second largest MMA promotion in the U.S., St. Louis has become a second home. The promotion was back in the "Gateway to the West" on Wednesday night hosting a meet and greet with one of their new fighters, Matt Mitrione.
Mitrione was at the St. Louis Cardinals entertainment complex, Ballpark Village, beginning at 7 p.m. He participated in an autograph signing as well as a question and answer session.
Bellator brought Mitrione to town to promote his upcoming fight at the Scottrade Center. He will take on Carl Seumanutafa in a heavyweight bout on Friday, June 24th.
As he makes his Bellator debut this month, Mitrione stands as one of the top heavyweights in the world. He holds a professional record of 9-5 with all of his career fights to date coming in the UFC.
Mitrione burst onto the MMA scene as a contestant on season ten of "The Ultimate Fighter". He made his professional debut on the season finale of the show, knocking out Marcus Jones in the second round.
Mitrione won his first five pro fights. The UFC recognized him with Performance of the Night honors twice and Fight of the Night once.
