NASCAR Hall of Famer Rusty Wallace is a valued member of the Blounty County, Tennessee community.  He owns seven car dealerships in the East Tennessee region and is well-regarded for his exploits on the track. 

Wallace will speak at this year's Best of Blount Awards on November 1st.  The event will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Clayton Center for the Arts on the campus of Maryville College.

Over a distinguished 25-year career, Wallace racked up 55 NASCAR victories.  In 1989, he was champion of the Winston Cup Series. 

Wallace's win total places him ninth in the NASCAR Cup Series all-time rankings.  He began his career in 1980 by finishing second in the Atlanta 500 and was NASCAR Rookie of the Year when he joined the circuit full-time in 1984. 

In 1998, Wallace was named one of NASCAR's 50 Greatest Drivers.  He remains one of the top ambassadors for the sport and is an analyst for Motor Racing Network.
