The Alabama Crimson Tide certainly rode a loaded senior class to the College Football Playoff National Championship. Four of those players led by standout Kenyan Drake participated in an autograph signing this weekend in Huntsville.
Geno Matias-Smith, Jabriel Washington, and Bradley Sylve signed Saturday at 5 p.m. at the Parkway Place Mall. Drake appeared Sunday at 2 p.m. and his signature cost $25 per item with a $10 inscription fee.
Fans looking for autographs from Washington and Sylve paid $15 while Matias-Smith signed for $19. An autograph from all four former Alabama players cost a special price of $65.
There is no doubt that many Tide fans brought Drake a copy of the most recent issue of Sports Illustrated to sign. It featured his electrifying 95-yard fourth quarter kick return in the title game that gave Alabama the lead they would never relinquish.
Drake finished the season with over 1,100 all-purpose yards while spotting Heisman Trophy winner Derrick Henry at running back. His best season at Alabama came as a sophomore when he ran for 694 yards and eight touchdowns.
As a high school senior, Drake was ranked the eighth-best running back in his class by Rivals.com. He was also the Georgia Gatorade Player of the Year in football and a 100-meter state champion in track.
