The U.S. Venture Open is Northeast Wisconsin's largest one-day event to fight poverty. This year, NBA All-Star Dwyane Wade will serve as keynote speaker. 

The event will be held on August 9th across six different golf courses. The dinner reception featuring Wade will take place at Van Abel's of Hollandtown. 

He has a history in the state as a former star at Marquette and does charitable work in Wisconsin through Wade's World Foundation. Proceeds from the U.S. Venture Open will be at the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region, the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation and the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation. 

Wade is in his first season with the Bulls after building a hall of fame legacy with the Miami Heat. He was a 12-time All-Star after being the fifth overall pick of the 2003 NBA Draft. 

In 2006, Wade was named NBA Finals Most Valuable Player after helping Miami to their first championship. He helped lead the Heat to four straight NBA Finals and two titles from 2011-14. 

The eight-time All-NBA selection also led the league in scoring in 2009. He is a two-time Olympic medalist who led Team USA in scoring in 2008.
