NBA veteran Vince Carter is once again hosting his annual camp in his hometown of Daytona Beach, Florida.  The Vince Carter Youth Basketball Academy runs July 18-22.

It will be hosted at the Vince Carter Athletic Center from 8 a.m. to 12 noon each day.  Boys and girls from the ages of 7-17 are welcome to participate. 

While at the camp they will learn basketball fundamentals, teamwork and life skills.  Registration is $200 and that also includes a team photo with Carter and one autograph. 

Carter is one of the best players of his generation and he is still going strong.  He recently wrapped his 18th NBA season with the Memphis Grizzlies.

Carter is an eight-time All-Star and regarded as arguably the greatest dunker of all-time.  His win at the Dunk Contest in during NBA All-Star Weekend in 2000 is still the stuff of legends. 

As an original first round pick of the Toronto Raptors in 1998, Carter led the franchise to their first three playoff appearances.  He currently ranks 24th on the all-time NBA scoring chart with 23,969 career points.
