The Raleigh Sports Club has a perfect speaker for their first meeting of their new season.  N.C. State football coach Dave Doeren.  The meeting will be held on August 17th in Bradley Hall at Highland UMC.

The weekly events for the Raleigh Sports Club are luncheons. The buffet line will open at 11:30 a.m. and the program runs from 12-1 p.m. 

Members can pay $15 while guest registration costs $25.  Doeren will address the crowd about the 2016 Wolfpack squad amongst other topics. 

Doeren has been able to return the N.C. State program to respectability.  After a difficult 3-9 debut season, the Wolfpack have gone 8-5 and 7-6 the last two years. 

Prior to heading to Raleigh, Doeren coached Northern Illinois to unprecedented success.  He posted a 23-4 record over two seasons with two MidAmerican Conference titles and an Orange Bowl berth in 2012.  

Before taking the NIU job, Doeren was an assistant coach at Wisconsin for five seasons.  He also had Division 1 coaching experience at Kansas and was a graduate assistant at the University of Southern California.
