The reigning NCAA Golfer of the Year has an endorsement portfolio to go with his newfound status as a professional. Sam Burns has agreed to deals with Callaway and Adidas.
Callaway has signed Burns to a 14-club equipment deal. In competition, he is playing a GBB Epic driver and fairway wood, Apex Pro 16 irons and an Odyssey O-Works #7S putter.
Burns also has an apparel deal with Adidas so he will be sporting the three stripes on his clothing and footwear. He is making his pro debut this week at the Sanderson Farms Championship.
Burns had a standout sophomore season at Louisiana State University. He won four tournaments on the way to being named the NCAA Division 1 Jack Nicklaus National Player of the Year.
Some of the other accolades that came Burns' way included SEC Player of the Year and first-team All-American honors. He also set LSU's single-season scoring record.
As an amateur, Burns tied for sixth at the PGA Tour's Barbasol Championship. He was a PING Honorable Mention All-American as a freshman after coming to the Tigers as the top-ranked amateur golf recruit.
