New England Patriots Quarterback Jacoby Brissett Holds Portland Sea Dogs Meet and Greet June 27th

New England Patriots quarterback Jacoby Brissett had a surprisingly eventful rookie season. He has made an impression on Patriots fans everywhere and will be making an appearance in the region on June 27th.

Brissett will be in Portland, Maine as a guest of the Portland Sea Dogs minor league baseball team. He is scheduled to throw out the first pitch prior to the Sea Dogs game against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats at Hadlock Field.

Brissett will also participate in an autograph signing at the stadium from 7-8 p.m. He will be the eighth Patriots player since 2008 to appear at a Sea Dogs game.

The Patriots selected Brissett in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft. After a suspension for starter Tom Brady and an injury to backup Jimmy Garropolo, he was thrust into action as a rookie.

Brissett saw the field in week 2 against the Miami Dolphins and went 6-9 for 92 yards to finish out the 31-24 victory. He ended up starting the next two games before being replaced by Brady.

Brissett split his college career between the University of Florida and North Carolina State University. As a two-year starter for the Wolfpack, he threw for 5,268 yards and 43 touchdowns.
