Since being selected second overall in the 2016 NFL Draft, Carson Wentz has been in a whirlwind. While he is now the new face of the Philadelphia Eagles franchise, he also has several commitments off the field.
Several companies have also bought in on Wentz, making him a brand ambassador as he embarks on this new journey in pro football. Most notably, Nike agreed to a partnership with the former North Dakota State quarterback last week.
Wentz also participated in several draft week promotions. Some of the companies he was aligned with include Bose, JC Penny and Tide.
Despite playing at FCS NDSU, Wentz was still able to generat buzz by leaving a huge mark during his collegiate career. He saw the Bison win five FCS National Championships, leading the program to two as a starter.
In the last two years of his career, he was named Most Outstanding Player of the title game both times. He had his best season as a junior, throwing for 3,111 yards and 25 touchdowns against only ten interceptions.
Perhaps even more impressively, Wentz battled back after an injury sidelined him for eight weeks as a senior to lead NDSU to the title. He has also excelled off the field, twice being named a CoSIDA Division I first-team Academic All-American.
