For the past year, New York Knicks sensation Kristaps Porzingis has been a brand ambassador for Shifman Mattress.  This month, he was able to make an appearance in New York City for the company. 

Porzingis stopped by Bloomingdale's on 59th Street to sign autographs.  Hundreds of fans stood in line for the event that took place at the Shifman Mattress gallery. 

The first 100 in line were guaranteed and autograph and over 150 people eventually got something signed.  The session lasted over an hour and 150 pre-signed photos were also distributed to eager fans. 

With impressive play during his rookie season, Porzingis instilled hope in the Knicks fanbase.  He averaged 14.3 points and 7.3 rebounds on the way to NBA All-Rookie first team honors. 

In addition to that honor, Porzingis finished as runner-up in Rookie of the Year voting.  New York selected him with the fourth overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft. 

Prior to coming stateside, Porzingis played for CB Sevilla since they signed him as a 15-year-old.  He originally grew up in Latvia.
