NFL Hall of Famer Alan Page Keynotes September’s Siouxland Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner

There is no question that former Minnesota Vikings defensive standout Alan Page is revered for his football career and the accomplishments he has had off the gridiron.  He is always an in-demand speaker and will keynote September's Siouxland Chamber of Commerce annual dinner.

The dinner will be held on September 22nd in Sioux City, Iowa at the Sioux City Convention Center.  It starts with a social hour at 5:30 p.m.

Page's presentation is titled, "A Personal Perspective on Athletics, Law and Race Relations in America Today".  Individual tickets for Chamber members are $80 while they are $95 to the general public.

Page had a lengthy NFL career, spending over a decade with the Vikings before closing things out with the Chicago Bears.  He was a nine-time Pro Bowler and a six-time first-team All-Pro.

Most notably, Page anchored the legendary "Purple People Eaters" defense that won four NFC Championships.  In 1971, he was named both NFL Most Valuable Player and the NFL Defensive Player of the Year.

Upon retirement from football, Page went into the legal field.  He became an associate justice of the Minnesota Supreme Court in 1992, a position he held until his mandatory retirement last year.
