While he has moved on to play for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Victor Oladipo's first pro town still holds a special place in his heart. He is returning this summer to Orlando, Florida to host a basketball camp.
The Victor Oladipo Basketball Camp takes place June 1-2 at the Jack & Lee Rosen Jewish Community Center. Kids from ages 7-15 are welcome to register.
Registration is $175 for JCC members and $225 for non-members. Online sign-up ends on May 29th, but campers can still sign up in person the following day.
Over his four NBA seasons, Oladipo had built a reputation as a potent scorer. After being a consensus first-team All-American at Indiana University in 2013, the Orlando Magic made him the second overall pick in the NBA Draft.
After averaging 13.8 points, 4.1 assists and 4.1 rebounds as a rookie, Oladipo was named to the All-Rookie First Team in 2014. He continued to have highlight moments in a Magic jersey, including his runner-up showing in the 2015 Slam Dunk Contest.
Oladipo was traded to the Thunder this past offseason. He averaged 15.9 points per game and made his first playoff appearance in year one with Oklahoma City.
