Nebraska Families Collaborative is bringing in someone who knows a thing or two about winning to serve as the keynote speaker at their inaugural Championship Luncheon. Olympic gymnast Gabby Douglas is the special guest of honor for the event on August 17th.

The luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Great Halls A&B at Lauritzen Gardens. Leading up to the main event, there will be a VIP Patron Party held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. 

Those who register for the party will get the opportunity to meet Douglas and get an autograph and photo. Regular admission for the luncheon is $75 and patron party passes are $100. 

Douglas made her mark at the 2012 Olympics, where she won gold medals in the individual all-around and team gymnastics competitions. She came back to the Games in 2016 and was a part of the U.S. team that won gold again.

Douglas was the first African American gymnast to become an individual all-around champion. She also won three World Championship medals during her career. 

Douglas was the Associated Press Female Athlete of the Year in 2012. She has found success as an author, speaker and endorser in her post-Olympic life.
