The Ray and Stella Dillon Lecture Series provides residents of Hutchinson, Kansas with informative and inspirational talks throughout the year. Olympic champion Shawn Johnson will be this year's fourth and final speaker. 

Johnson will give her presentation on November 7th. All engagements are $10 and they take place at the Hutchinson Sports Arena. 

The lectures are sponsored by Hutchinson Community College. They have already unveiled their four-speaker slate for 2018 as well. 

Johnson stole America's heart at the 2008 Olympics. She won a gold medal on the balance beam and silver medals in the team, all-around and floor exercise competitions. 

Johnson originally debuted as a member of the U.S. senior national team in 2007. She won the all-around at the American Cup, Pan American Games, U.S. National Championships and World Championships. 

After injuries prevented her from making the Olympic team again, Johnson retired from gymnastics in 2012. She is still a popular personality and she won season eight of Dancing With the Stars while finishing as the runner-up on the show's All-Star edition.
