The Women's Industry Network is celebrating their tenth anniversary and they have one American Olympic star from the past slated to speak at their annual conference. Gymnast Shannon Miller will be present for the event May 2-4 at the Downtown Hilton in Tampa, Florida.
The conference's theme is "Power of the Past-Force of the Future". Miller will bring her expertise of competing at the highest level of athletics with her keynote titled "The Gold Medal Mindset".
WIN members who register for the three-day conference before April 1st have a special early registration fee of $400. After April 1st, member sign-up costs $450 while non-members may also attend for $650.
While Miller had her greatest medal haul at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, she truly starred on home soil at the 1996 Games in Atlanta. She won individual gold in balance beam and was a part of the Magnificent Seven squad that captured all-around team gold.
In 1992, Miller was a silver medal winner in the individual all-around and took home four other medals. She was the most decorated American athlete of that Olympics and has the most total medals of any gymnast in U.S. history.
Miller also captured nine World Championship medals during her career and was the World All-Around Champion in 1993 and 1994. She is a member of the USA Gymnastics, US Olympic, International Gymnastics, and Women's International Sports Halls of Fame.
