Just this month, the clothing retailer Aeropostale teamed with U.S. Oympic gold medal gymnast Aly Raisman in advance of this summer's Rio Games. The Back-to-School denim campaign officially kicks off next month with a series of advertisements on different platforms.

Raisman is already at work promoting the brand however.  This Saturday, she made an appearance from 3-5 p.m. right outside her hometown of Needham, Massachusetts at the Aerppostale store in the Natick Mall.  

The first 100 fans in attendance received a free Areopostale gift card valued at up to $100.  There were 500 people total given wristbands for the event. 

Raisman is hard at work training for Rio and trying to become the first American female gymnast in over 15 years to be on back-to-back Olympic teams.  She already has tremendous national team experience as the captain of the 2012 squad. 

With Raisman leading the way, the U.S. women won team gold for the first time since 1996.  She also stood out in the individual events, winning gold in floor exercise and bronze on the balance beam. 

Raisman's role with the beloved "Fierce Five" squad has led to a bevy of marketing opportunities and an appearance on ABC's "Dancing With the Stars".  She has also been featured on the U.S. teams that won gold at the 2011 and 2015 World Championships.
