Orlando Magic Senior Vice President Pat WIlliams Keynotes FFMA Operations Seminar

Orlando Magic Senior Vice President Pat Williams has been one of the top executives in sports over the past 40 years.  His insights on leadership are invaluable and he shared some of them yesterdady with top facility operators from across the state of Florida. 

Williams served as the keynote speaker at the Florida Facility Managers Association Operations Summit.  It was held in Orlando at the home of the Magic, the Amway Center. 

The presentation Williams gave was titled, "Proven Leadership Principles for a Fast-Paced World".  Registration to attend was $40 for members, $55 for non members and $25 for students. 

In many ways, Williams is the father of professional basketball in Orlando.  He joined the efforts to bring an expansion team to the city in 1986 and served as general manager until 1996.  

Williams built the franchise into a quick winner as the Magic made a trip to the NBA Finals in 1995.  Before arriving in Orlando, he was general manager of the Philadelphia 76ers for 12 years and won an NBA Championship in 1983.  

The Memorial Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame recognized Williams in 2012 with the John W. Bunn Lifetime Achievement Award.  He was also the first person inducted into the Orlando Magic Hall of Fame and has written over 100 books that are mostly focused on leaders and leadership topics.
