Despite losing her legs at the age of 19, Amy Purdy has accomplished a great deal. Purdy is a Paralympic bronze medalist, New York Times’ best-selling author, and Dancing With the Stars finalist.
With that impressive resume, she fields numerous speaking offers each year. One that will dot her calendar at the beginning of 2016 is the keynote address at Imaging USA 2016.
Imaging USA is the Professional Photographers of America’s annual conference. This upcoming year, it runs January 10-12 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.
Purdy is always tackling the next project. Her 2014 bronze in Snowboard Cross at the Paralympics was just another achievement on a long list.
Later that year, she became the first double-amputee on DWTS and made it all the way to the finals on season 18. Purdy has also been a contestant on The Amazing Race.
In December 2014, her book, “On My Own Two Feet: From Losing My Legs to Learning The Dance of Life”, was published. The publicity from the book and her DWTS appearance has elevated an already significant platform.
More recently, she has continued work with her own non-profit organization, Adaptive Action Sports. Purdy also has a clothing line that is set for a spring 2016 release.
