After his successful season at Penn State, head coach James Franklin certainly has people abuzz about the job he has done in State College. Next month, he will share some of his coaching strategies as a speaker at The Coaches Academy 2017 Mid-Atlantic Football Coaches Clinic. 

The event runs February 17-19 at the Mohegan Sun Pocono. Franklin is serving as the featured speaker on the opening night of the clinic. 

Over 100 coaches have already registered and it costs $95. In addition to Franklin, there are 60 others sessions at the clinic including a presentation from Pittsburgh Steelers offensive line coach Mike Munchak. 

In 2016, Penn State won 11 games on the way to winning the Big Ten and making an appearance in the Rose Bowl. They finished seventh in the country and Franklin was named the conference's Coach of the Year. 

During each of his first two seasons, Franklin and the Nittany Lions posted back-to-back 7-6 records. He garnered respect in college football during a three-year run at Vanderbilt. 

After going 6-7 in his first season, Franklin led the Commodores to consecutive 9-4 finishes. Vandy also made the first consecutive bowl appearances in school history.
