This summer, PGA Tour professional Rocco Mediate will be speaking at a golf event in Wisconsin. He is going to be on hand for the 32nd annual Beloit Health System Foundation Pro-Am.
The tournament will be held on July 31st at Beloit Club. Mediate is playing that day with each fivesome on the tenth hole and will speak at a dinner later that night.
There will be 200 guests at the dinner that features a silent auction. Proceeds from all the festivities benefit the Hendricks Family Heart Hospital that is currently being built.
Mediate turned pro in 1985 and has triumphed six times on the PGA Tour. His first victory came in 1991 at the Doral-Ryder Open and he won most recently on tour in 2010.
The highlight of Mediate's career was a runner-up finish in a sudden death playoff against Tiger Woods at the 2008 U.S. Open. He has been among the top 20 players in the World Golf Rankings.
Mediate now also plays on the Champions Tour and has won three events. At last year's Senior PGA Championship, he had a record-setting score of -19.
