After a banner 2017 season, Xander Schauffele's name is picking up steam in the golf world. He has launched into his first major endorsement partnership with Callaway Golf.
Schauffele will play Callaway woods, irons and wedges as part of the deal and carry an Odyssey putter in his bag. He will also use a Callaway Chrome Soft ball in competition.
No terms of the agreement were released. Schauffele has already been sporting a Callaway logo on the side of his hat during tournament play.
Schauffele picked up the first PGA Tour victory of his career at the Greenbrier Classic and then impressively became the first rookie to win the Tour Championship. He also had a standout fifth-place showing at the U.S. Open and finished tied for 20th at The Open Championship.
Schauffele was named 2017 PGA Tour Rookie of the Year and finished 32nd in the Official World Golf Ranking. That strong debut came on the heels of him having to earn his card at the Web.com Tour Finals.
Schauffele spent his first collegiate season at Long Beach State University and was named 2012 Big West Conference Freshman of the Year. He spent the next three years at San Diego State University and is the school's career scoring average leader.
