Even those he is long removed from his NFL career, Jason Gildon has stayed true to the area that made him a football star.  The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania resident will be on hand for an autograph signing later this month in the suburb of Belle Vernon.  

On July 21st, Gildon will be signing on behalf of UMH Properties from 6-8 p.m. at the UMH Sales Center.  There will also be giveaways and a raffle at the event. 

UMH will be sharing information about the properties they maintain throughout the state.  They hosted a similar signing last month with retired baseball great Dwight Gooden.

Gildon played for the Pittsburgh Steelers for a decade.  He still stands as the franchise's all-time sacks leader with 77 quarterback takedowns.  

From 2000-02, Gildon was selected to the Pro Bowl each season.  After being drafted by the Steelers in 1994, he helped the team make the Super Bowl in his second season. 

Gildon spent one final season in the NFL with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2004.  He currently is the head football coach at Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic High School.
