Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard is part of the new advertising campaign for Powerade. He is the sports drink company's latest brand ambassador. 

The "No Easy Bucket" 30-second spot profiles Lillard's hard work to get to the top of the basketball world. He is seen going through a series of workouts and drinking Powerade. 

The commercial is running during the start of the NCAA Tournament this week. There will also be two complimentary digital ads, "Heart" and "Work".

In an era of great NBA point guards, Lillard is among the best. He is a two-time All-Star who was named to the All-NBA second team in 2016 and the All-NBA third team in 2014. 

Portland originally selected Lillard with the sixth overall pick of the 2012 NBA Draft. During his first season, he averaged 19 points and 6.5 assists a game on the way to winning NBA Rookie of the Year. 

Lillard has also been huge in three playoff appearances for the Trail Blazers. During his first postseason series, he hit a game-winning shot to advance Portland over the Houston Rockets.
