Pro Football Hall of Famer Ronnie Lott is beloved all over Northern California for his time starring with the San Francisco 49ers. He will be in San Bernadino this June as the guest speaker for the Daily Press' second annual Best of Preps event.
The banquet takes place June 2 at the High Desert Event Center. Lott will be able to share stories from his own journey as a former local prep standout.
The top high school athletes from the High Desert region will be recognized as well. Lott follows another Hall of Famer, Marcus Allen, who spoke at last year's event.
Lott spent his first decade as a professional with the 49ers and won four Super Bowls. Over the course of his career, he was a ten-time Pro Bowler and eight-time first-team All-Pro.
Lott has the unique distinction of being named to both the 1980s and 1990s All-Decade Team. While he was mostly praised for his hard-hitting, he also led the NFL in interceptions in 1986 and 1991.
Lott's #42 jersey is retired by San Francisco. In retirement, he has made the successful transition to the business world and has an array of holdings in different industries.
