Pro Football Hall of Famer Tim Brown Keynotes Fruit of the Spirit Awards Banquet

Pro Football Hall of Famer Tim Brown was recently able to speak in greater depth about his Christian faith. He keynoted Colorblind Ministries "Fruit of the Spirit" Awards Banquet on Saturday.

Brown talked about the importance of being raised in a Christian home and being embraced by Christian coaches and mentors. Following his presentation, he held a book signing. 

Brown autographed copies of The Making of a Man: How Men and Boys Honor God and Live With Integrity. There were nine individuals who work in the community that were honored with "Fruit of the Spirit" awards. 

In 1987, Brown became the first wide receiver to win the Heisman Trophy. The Los Angeles Raiders selected him out of Notre Dame with the sixth overall pick in the 1988 NFL Draft. 

Brown spent 16 seasons with the Raiders franchise and was named to nine Pro Bowls. He was a two-time first-team All-Pro and a member of the NFL 1990s All-Decade Team. 

Brown totaled 1,094 receptions for 14,934 yards and 100 touchdowns. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2015.
