One of golf's rising stars has a new endorsement deal to go along with his budding popularity. European Tour pro Andrew Johnston has an agreement with the fast food chain, Arby's.
Johnston goes by the nickname "Beef", making him a perfect fit for the chain known for their roast beef sandwiches. Starting with the PGA Championship, he will wear the Arby's logo on his shirt and the back of his hat.
This past weekend, Johnston celebrated the deal by visiting the company's first New York City store. He worked the service line during his appearance, handing out orders to customers.
2016 has been a very good year for Johnston so far. He picked up his first victory on the European Tour in April at the Real Club Valderrama Open de Espana.
Just two weeks ago, Johnston had his best showing in a major, an eighth place finish at The Open Championship. It was just his second time playing the event and his third major appearance overall.
Johnston turned pro in 2009 and participated in his first European Tour event in 2011. In 2014, he was the Challenge Tour Rankings Winner.
