Next month, record setting cyclist Mark Beaumont will hold a book signing in the United Kingdom.  On August 6th, he will be at the Tiso Perth Outdoor Experience in Perth to sign copies of his new book, "Africa Solo".  

Africa Solo chronicles Beaumont's record breaking ride across the length of the continent.  The signing takes place from 1-2 p.m. 

The Scottish bike shop, Alpine Bikes, has organized the signing.  Fans will get a chance to chat with Beaumont in addition to getting their book autographed.  

Beaumont has pulled off the unimaginable on a bike.  For two years, he held the world record for cycling around the world. 

During that 2008 journey, Beaumont covered 18,297 miles in 194 days and 17 hours.  Two years later, he cycled the Americas, going from Anchorage, Alaska to Ushuaia, Argentina.

In 2015, Beaumont set a record by going from Cairo to Cape Town in 42 days, eight hours.  In addition to his cycling endeavors, he also is a skiing and rowing enthusiast.
