The passenger railway TGV Lyria has signed a big name to represent them. World number four ranked men's tennis singles player Stan Wawrinka inked an endorsement pact with the company that shuttles people between France and Switzerland.
The Swiss native holds a great deal of relevancy for TGV Lyria's customer base. They can especially take advantage of their partnership during the French Open and the BNP Paribas Masters.
They can also generate greater interest in the service when Wawrinka plays at the Geneva Open and Swiss Indoors Basel in Switzerland. In addition to his new agreement with TGV Lyria, he has had endorsement deals with international companies like Audi, Audemars Piguet, and Visilab.
Wawrinka is the defending French Open champion and also won the 2014 Australian Open. At one time or another, he has defeated Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, and Andy Murray on the Grand Slam stage.
Additionally, Wawrinka teamed with Federer to win a gold medal in doubles for Switzerland at the 2008 Olympics. They also led their country to victory in the Davis Cup in 2014.
He has won 11 career singles titles and reached at least the quarterfinals of all four Grand Slam events. Wawrinka has been a consistent presence in the world top ten since 2008.
