Coming off one of the greatest victories of his career, reigning Wimbledon champion Andy Murray is a man in high-demand. The Scottish-born tennis star inked a new endorsement deal this week with a company based in his home country.
Murray has partnered with the Digital Health & Care Institute. DHI is an innovation center for improvement to health care and personal wellness.
As part of the five-year pact, Murray will promote the Institute's various initiatives. He will also annually help DHI honor a college or school that helps solve a major health issue.
After winning his second Wimbledon title, Murray is currently ranked second in the world in men's singles. He was also victorious at the 2012 U.S. Open and boasts eight other runner-up finishes in Grand Slam events.
That U.S. Open win made him the first British man to win a Grand Slam title since 1936. He is a true sporting icon in Great Britain, a role that was only heightened by his run to gold at the 2012 Olympic tennis tournament on home soil.
Last year, Murray helped Team GB win their first Davis Cup since 1936. For his efforts, he was named BBC Sports Personality of the Year.
