University of Louisville head coach Rick Pitino will have a short walk to his next speaking engagement. Pitino’s appearance highlights the four-day Robbie Valentine Basketball Camp, being held on the Cardinals’ home floor at the KFC Yum! Center.
The camp runs from July 27-30 and each day from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. For $200, boys and girls ages 6-14 can learn fundamental basketball skills from a host of experienced mentors.
Pitino is one of several special guests that will appear during the week. The list also includes names like two-time national championship winning head coach Denny Crum and former UL standout Luke Hancock.
There is no denying Pitino as one of the greatest coaches in NCAA history. He has led Louisville and Kentucky to national championships and three different schools to Final Fours.
With the Cardinals, Pitino has been to nine straight NCAA Tournaments. The program under his watch has made it as far as the Elite Eight five times.
Pitino was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2013 and his all-time coaching record currently stands at 722-254. He has impacted countless coaches and is a sought-after public speaker.
